TeeBry Sensei’s theory claims that after the Whirlpool Village was destroyed, the nation rebuilt and changed its name to the Land of Waves. TeeBry Sensei offers a lot of evidence that can prove this theory to be true.
The diverse clans that exist in the Naruto world are a major part of its story. History between clans influences how characters interact with each other, and many clans have special abilities passed down through the generations.
Even so, not much is known about the history of the Uzumaki clan. The Uzumaki clan is a distant relative of the Senju and a close ally of Konoha.
They had their own ninja village called the Whirlpool Village, which was later destroyed by other countries, and the surviving members of the clan were scattered everywhere.
These few events cover most of the history of the Uzumaki clan, but a YouTuber has created a conspiracy theory that offers more insight into the clan and what happened to their homeland.
TeeBry Sensei’s theory claims that after the Whirlpool Village was destroyed, the nation rebuilt and changed its name to the Land of Waves. TeeBry Sensei offers a lot of evidence that can prove this theory to be true.

History of Land of Waves and Whirlpool Village

Land of Waves does not have the same level of in-depth history as the other main villages. All that is really known about this small country is that their economy is primarily through shipping and commerce.
Notably, Land of Waves has no ninja village or any presence of ninja loyal to the nation. When the bridge builder Tazuna needed protection, he had to enlist the help of the ninjas of another country. The other small countries in the Naruto world all have ninjas, so why doesn’t the Nation of Waves have one?
TeeBry Sensei claims that the Land of Waves has no ninja village because they have lost their Village. If the Country of Waves used to be the Whirlpool Village, then when the Uzumaki clan was destroyed, the ninjas that protected this nation were also lost.
Without the Uzumaki clan to protect the area, the country would have become weak and easy to take over. This would explain how Gato was able to gain control of the country with such ease.
About the geography of Land of Waves and Whirlpool Village

As TeeBry Sensei explains in his video, there is no official map showing the Land of Waves having any relationship with the rest of the shinobi world. Only a small magnified map of the country shows it as a collection of small islands.
Through dialogue, it is revealed that the Land of Waves is somewhere off the coast of the Fire Nation. Based on how the “Great Naruto” bridge connects the two countries, it can be assumed that the Land of Waves is located to the east of the Fire Nation.
The only land on the official map that makes sense to the Wave Nation is where the Whirlpool Village once existed. TeeBry Sensei says that the shape of the two countries is almost the same.
The villages and houses that existed in the Whirlpool Village may have been destroyed, but the real land is still there. TeeBry Sensei proposed that the non-Uzumaki survivors rebuilt their nation and renamed it as a way to distance themselves from their past enemies. It is difficult to disprove the vast amount of evidence that Mr. TeeBry’s theory is correct.
Great Naruto Bridge

If it is true that the Country of Waves was once the Whirlpool Village, then the significance of Naruto’s first real mission has changed radically and a new meaning has been added to the part that takes place there.
The Country of Waves is where Naruto learned what is said to be the ninjutsu of a ninja. TeeBry Sensei pointed out that Naruto had been told how to give up his humanity from Haku and Zabuza.
It was also in the Land of Waves that Naruto found his own way of ninjutsu. In fact, he was able to learn all of this in his hometown – the Uzumaki clan.
Naruto not only learned the lessons of life in the Land of Waves, but also helped save the country. If the two countries were really the same place, then Naruto freed his clan’s home from poverty and oppression, helping to restore his clan to its former glory.
The bridge Naruto helped build connects his hometown with his current home in the Fire Nation. Once again, Whirlpool Village and Konoha are bound together in partnership.
At the end of the “National Wave” arc, Tazuna decided to name the bridge after Naruto, calling it the “Great Naruto Bridge”. In Japan, there is a real bridge with the same name.
The Great Naruto Bridge apparently inspired the bridge that exists in the story. As a final proof of their theory, TeeBry Sensei points out that the Great Naruto Bridge is indeed famous for the whirlpools that appear under it.
This only adds to the evidence that the Whirlpool Village became the Land of Waves after it was destroyed.
